What a relief to get away from the never ending scandals and  the loss of the allure that made us so attractive. Indeed the last surviving vestige of the legend of Monte Carlo  is my grandfather’s heritage: the Monaco Grand Prix which he founded back in 1929.

Unlike today’s dignitaries, my Grandfather’s  word was his honor. This earned him the respect, trust and the  credibility to convince the many skeptics that he could organize  the first Grand Prix to be held within in a city. The Monaco Grand Prix became the most watched formula One race in the world and the most  profitable event of the year. It is by far the principal  enhancer  of the country’s attractiveness, reputation and image. 

Unbelievabily we nearly lost it in 2016 out of greed for the benefits of squeezing in yet another building… on the space needed by the television broadcast trucks !

Throughout my trips i will take every opportunity to promote my grandfather’s legacy, Monaco’s perennial place in motor racing and the virtues of honoring one’s word.
